The Sower Sows the Word
“And He said to them, “Do you not understand this parable? How then will you understand all the parables? The sower sows the word.” Matthew 21:22
The focus today is the importance of God’s Word and getting its truth deeply rooted in our hearts. We do that with faith and understanding. Listen to the lesson and then think about the condition of your heart to receive God’s Word.
Your Journey in Faith is specially designed to help you develop your faith as you experience your sacred time of extended prayer and fasting. Take this opportunity to learn more about yourself and the changes you can make in your life of faith.

Hi Susan! I am so thankful the the Lord led me to the Your Journey in Faith Daniel Fast 2017. I have been blessed by the devotions and reflection questions. I have been walking in the sense knowledge faith for years and it was due to me not submitting to the spirit and not the flesh. I am a member of a church that has been nurturing. I have grown. Your devotional is helping me to be more intimate and committed to the fast. It also challenges me to be committed to making more time to spend with the Lord. Thank you
Tamika
Thank you very much, Susan Gregory!
I am a Catholic and this is my first time to ever go on a fast. I heard about the Daniel Fast from a coworker and I looked it up and saw you website and after reading about it I decided it’s something I want, no, I NEED in my life. I have always wondered what the Lord’s purpose for my life here on earth and having so many trials and tribulations going on in my life, I could feel myself being ‘lost’ but I always turn to Him for strength as I know He fills my needs whenever I am feeling so down…But I really didn’t have any idea how to go about it, how to organize myself so I don’t get lost again. And since I started on the Daniel Fast, the 8th of January, I have more stability now. I was able to have my son’s girlfriend get on the Daniel Fast with me and she’s really happy with how’s it’s helping her spiritually, emotionally, physically and mentally (as I am). Your daily reflections/lessons have made me grow more in the Word & Work of God and given me more guidance & wisdom than I’ve had before and I thank you. I ask that you pray for me as I know I still have a long way to go but with the Lord’s Words to guide me and for His love for me I know I will make it. God bless you and your staff for the great work you’re doing and may you continue to do so for many many more years to come.
Sincerely yours, Esther
I have always thought it would be me who bears the fruit it isn’t its Gods words that will become fruitful. This is a very powerful lesson Thank God for the renewal of my mind
The message today is so powerful and i really wondered where i am in terms of 30,60,100 my pray is God will bless me with gift of revelation knowledge faith to be able to be fruitful 100 fold
Again a very inspiring message which encourages me to exam myself to see exactly where I am in God’s vineyard. I tend to fall in the third category, where i hear the word and it stays with me for a time but then I become distracted by the cares of the world, studies, raising children and I don’t spend enough time in searching God’s word for answers. As I take this special time to fast and study God’s word, I pray that I can truly be renewed in my heart and that God’s word would take precedent over everything else. So far, I am spending more time in the Word and I know that God will make a way for me to experience his abundant love this year 2017. Thanks again Susan for your faithfulness to God’s mission to go out and spread the good news. May God bless you in all your efforts.
I thank you Sincerly got availing yourself Susan to the calling of the most High. For the first time in about 9 years, this is the first time I’ve prepared for a fast before the end of the year. I was looking forward to begin this fast with the saints and I am enjoying every minute of it. I look forward to the word that you send every morning when I wake up and I feel my faith muscles being strengthened once again and regained some boldness within my spirit. Thank you very much
So many scriptures you are using are exactly the ones God has been showing me in my prayer time. He is so awesome! Every fast I do is different and unique in terms of where He takes me. Love it! I love the sense of doing the fast with the others joining you. Thanks Susan
Thank you Susan for this right now Word because it teaches me to not be so quick to go watch tv after I come home from work but to run to His Word first. Then I will know what to do next
Good morning Susan. Thank you again for another powerful Message. I have stumbled with this issue. How, and if I am sowing fruitful for God’s Kingdom. These studies have really helped me out. Once again Thank you. God Bless
Great lesson Susan,
And a reminder to keep my heart tender to be the good soil for our Lord to sow His word. Especially at this point in my life when so much change is going on and we are heading home on furlough after spending over seven years on the mission field of Nicaragua.
For the past few years my heart’s desire has been to be the good ground but I also know as one who has tended a garden with good soil in the past, that even in good soil rocks and thorns could start appearing and taking over. I thank God that He is my help and I can ask, “Lord, if a gardener clears the ground to prepare the seed to be received then surely you can do the same for my heart too.”
And He does 🙂
This lesson was an excellent reminder of that fact. Thank you so much for your faithfulness to our Lord’s word and for proclaiming it with power. I know my faith walk is being strengthened because of it. Many blessings.
To GOD be ALL the GLORY
I am in the second group with the thorns. I am praying that God will guide me out of that particular wilderness and into the promised land. My question to life’s questions is How? Some stumbling blocks that I have are not directly addressed in scripture. How to overcome rejection within the body of Christ and without? Do I take scripture that calls me a daughter, beloved and simply repeat that to myself? And how to let go completely? I have a tough time with that because of what happened to me when I was young. I am asking God for revelation to that particular issue but so far I am not hearing anything. With God’s help, I will carry on. I am grateful to your teachings Susan and for your ministry. On a side note I didn’t get your 2nd email with your thoughts today. I have a whole binder with your studies, worksheets and thoughts to keep so that I can see the progress I am making and it would be incomplete without it!
Thank you for sharing! All is very well said and a testimony to my heart as well! May He richly bless you as you return home from seven years of service. May He restore and replenish your lives that were poured out as a drink offering!
As I listened to this message it so convicted me of how often i drift from standing on the Word of God and my thinking begins to reflect the world. I thank the Lord that the word “transformed” seemed to leap out at me. Renewal of my mind by the Word of God. How I pray in the midst of this quest this will truly be a transforming time in my life,That I will continue long after this fast to truly walk the walk and talk the talk in all sincerity.
Susan Gregory, I can not thank you enough for obeying your Saviour and doing this for us. The teachings on a daily basis, the prayers, the prayerful time u prepared. May He truly bless you and yours!
