Change! Believe in the Gospel
“The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel.” Mark 1:15
I am so thankful that we aren’t “stuck” and without the opportunity to grow and change. God gives us the choice to make changes in our lives, in our character, what we believe, and how we behave. As we make the choice to walk in the Way of the Lord, we will stumble upon things about ourselves that don’t align with His Word. We will want to change and grow into the mature followers of Jesus. When we change, we are happier, more content, more secure . . . and bright shining beacons for the world to see! That is our witness of the life in us with God!
Your Journey in Faith is specially designed to help you develop your faith as you experience your sacred time of extended prayer and fasting. Take this opportunity to learn more about yourself and the changes you can make in your life of faith.

Thank you for your daily message. its my 17th day .
I am 56 year old and I am not sure if I have done this correctly so far. My diet consisted of rooibos tea with coconut milk, veggies , fruits, nuts, beans and lentils, and flat breads like roti and tortilla wraps, organic peanut and almond butter.
so worried that my diet might be wrong.
Don’t worry, Gaby. You’re okay. Just a slight adjustment. The only beverage is water. So no tea. Just water.
Otherwise, all is well. Continue on, but drop the tea. 🙂
Be blessed!
Hi Susan, Grace and Peace. I am so excited about what God will do as I seek his face at this time on behalf of my son and family. Thank you for taking the time to feed us with God’s Word each though I have been guilty of not always getting to it everyday, or right away. Today I felt a little low in my spirit when a coworker who asked why I was eating hummus and eating 100% whole wheat Matzo crackers said that they were both processed foods though, as if to say that I was eating wrong. I instantly felt condemned and I’m having a hard time trying not to feel like I’ve done something so wrong in my attempt to do right….I remembered what you said however, not to let it be about the food …I know it’s more about the act and the motive …I’m still struggling to let go of this condemned feeling.
First of all, the choices you made where correct for the Daniel Fast. Many people don’t understand what processed food is and your co-worker was wrong. So be relieved of any negative feelings about “doing wrong.” Also, even if you were making an unknowing mistake, you were right in your heart.
Pass on. Move on. You are okay. The spiritual lessons in this example are huge. There are so many avenues for people to share there opinions. What we must do is test everything against the Word of God. It is sure and we can count on it. We follow the way of the Lord.
Your devotional today spoke to my heart. God is in me and He and I are one. When you put it like that, the thought is so awesome and mind blowing that I want to be good, loving, compassionate to all. I have Jesus blood flowing through me. I am an heir in God’s kingdom. I don’t deserve it but I accept it with an open heart and will surrender to His will in all things. Lord help me as only you can. I place my trust in you. Thanks so much Susan for making this fast available to all of us.
Thanks for the daily devotional thoughts. In my quiet time I was able to measure my daily walk with the lord. Renewing my mind and be willing to surrender habits that affects the family I could only ask the Lord to change my attitude. I am always told that I don’t listen. Now I am trying to talk less and wait for the leading when to speak.
Each day the messages has meaning for me and I’m glad that I took this step being in volve in this pray and fasting community. It has definitely help me to make changes in my life. Thanks Susan
Susan,
Can you share some scripture that has some insight on the end of the fast actions.
I have some diet changes that I’m praying about and also the prayer time that I have will continue.
Is there scripture or biblical direction that maybe I (we in this group ) are unaware of going forward?.
Thank you.
Marty
I am preparing a video about how to conclude your Daniel Fast. Coming 🙂
Susan,
Thank you for sending the lessons daily. I had sent a message that I was not receiving the daily lesson and I have been getting it for the past couple of days. So thank you for getting the mailing fixed to my email.
Marty
How do we fast at work. During the fast are we to continue our daily house work and on our job how do we put our fast into play
Hi Christine,
I encourage you to go to http://daniel-fast.com and learn about the fast. It’s not like the Jewish Sabbath when people refrain from work. It’s very different.
Susan, thank you for today’s lesson you hit a core issue that I have in your talk and it has motivated me to continue on and deal with this head on. Thank you for your honesty and your integrity. I am so glad I joined you and this community in Christ to pursue what is noble, what is worthy, what is beautiful and what is true!
