Are You Ready to Truly Experience Christ in Your Life?
Join Susan Gregory for a seven-part intensive short course that will lead you into your faith-driven future with Christ at the center and God’s will at the helm.
Are you satisfied with your life now? Do you see time rushing by while your hopes and dreams seem to fall to the wayside? Do you long for a deeper relationship with Christ? Do you have an ever-increasing hunger for more of God in your life?
What does it mean to live a Faith Driven Life?
A faith-driven life is one that is centered on God and His Word. Jesus teaches us in Matthew 7 that the wise person builds their house, or their life, on the steady and sound rock of God’s truths. That is a faith-driven life. One where followers of Jesus Christ decide to walk in the Spirit rather than the ways of the world.
The Path is a seven-part intensive teaching to help women and men develop a faith-driven lifestyle by learning practical skills and strategies for living – with everything starting with faith.
Why is it important?
We’re called to walk in the Spirit. That’s what a faith-driven life is all about. It’s first, receiving Jesus’s invitation when He said, “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.”
Also, we’re called to live a different kind of life. In Romans, we see this clear instruction: “And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.”
We can live by the world standards OR we can live by the way of God. They are different and we always have the choice as to which path we will follow. Will we follow Jesus on the way in the Spirit? Or will we follow our own plan and continue in the ways of the world and our own intellect and reason?
How has it helped you?
Never have I felt so empowered by Jesus. Fear is gone. Trust has multiplied. Joy has soared. My confidence in Christ is beyond my measure now. Prayers are answered. Peace is present. And my relationship with God has never been so strong.
I can honestly say that I now know personally. Physically. Spiritually. And experientially what it means for Christ to abide in me and me in Him.
What did you have to overcome to master it?
No one had ever taught me this little tweak. It’s right there in the Scriptures, but I had never had it explained to me in a way that it could happen in me . . . that I could hold the presence of the Lord in my body. Not a spiritual concept. Now having Christ “in me” was real.
This is different than believing in our heads. This is of the heart. Just like the Scriptures teach, but now I realize very few people experience.
How do you implement SUBJECT step-by-step?
It’s all in the Scriptures. But I had never had the puzzle pieces presented to me in such a manner that I could experience it.
First, we’re called to believe. “But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.” Hebrews 11:6
Second, we need to surrender to God. That means giving up our will for His will. We are called to crucify the flesh, “I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.” Galatians 2:20 (Romans 6:6, Galatians 5:24, Colossians 3:5)
This is a spiritual experience. It’s not in our heads, it’s in our hearts. It comes through meditation, prayer, and silence so the Lord can come in and take up His place in our souls.
Third, we receive the Spirit of Christ in us. This is part of the previous step. We empty ourselves so we are fully surrendered to the Lord. Then He comes in and takes up His dwelling place inside of us.
“Therefore, since Christ suffered for us[a] in the flesh, arm yourselves also with the same mind, for he who has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin, that he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh for the lusts of men, but for the will of God.” 1 Peter 4:1-2
Fourth, we walk in the Spirit. Living with Christ in us becomes our lifestyle! The way we live our days. This is living the Way of the Lord. “Now he who keeps His commandments abides in Him, and He in him. And by this we know that He abides in us, by the Spirit whom He has given us.” 1 John 3:24 “If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.” Galatians 2:25
This is life “in Christ.” And when it’s our lifestyle, we are living a faith-driven life.
Fifth, is that our lives become so powerful, loving, and Christ-like that we shine. Others see us and are so taken aback by our way of living that they are attracted to us and want what we have, which is Christ in us. “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house.” Matthew 5:14-15
How do you keep this going day in and day out?
Again, it’s in the Scriptures. Jesus teaches us, “Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.” Matthew 4:4
So we first stay connected with Christ and spend time with Him in the Secret Place. We meet with believers in church and study group. And we continue to learn and grow by using the many resources that are available to us. Tools and services that help us grow and reach maturity, which never really ends.
